St. Charles Jazz Weekend happens every year in September.  This year it’s the same weekend as our reunion.Here is the link to over 35 jazz performances at local businesses all weekend long.

We have arranged a private walking tour of historic downtown St. Charles. The tour includes 27 featured sites in the central Historical District that includes the original town as laid out in the 1830s. The tour is lead by a docent and starts at the St. Charles History Museum, originally known as the McCornack Oil Co, Building. Stops include St. Charles Public Library, Arcada Theatre and Club Arcada, Old St. Patrick Church, the iconic Hotel Baker, and the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church.

LOCATION: St. Charles History Museum, 215 E. Main St., St. Charles

COST: $15 per person if we have 11 or more participants (and at this point we do.) If 10 or fewer sign up, the cost is $20 per person. You will pay the St. Charles History Museum directly before the tour starts.

Consider a scenic Fox River Paddleboat tour on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 12:30 pm.  The St. Charles paddleboats have been cruising the Fox River since 1945 when Chet Anderson bought his first boat. This trip is perfectly-timed to complement the private Historic Walking Tour planned for 10:30 AM. The boat tour is open to the public and departs from scenic Pottawatomie Park. However, with enough participation, the Class of 1974 can easily “commandeer” the boat!

LOCATION: Pottawatomie Park riverfront, 8 North Ave., St. Charles

Deacon Frost Band is a local band featuring Terry Buck (brother of our classmate Jeff Buck) as their lead singer.
